Ruined District

A once-prosperous neighborhood of Myr that stretches along the Southeastern Wall and includes the city’s southern gates. It is a sprawling slum that, true to its name, harbors the ruins of great manses, palaces, and market squares which were all ransacked during the Siege of Myr by Volantene forces during the century of blood. Never fully rebuilt, the Ruined District is quite nearly a shanty town within the city walls. It is also a hotbed of activity for the Order of the Crimson Tongue who take advantage of its relative lawlessness. The Street of the Craftsmen, its mjor thoroughfare is moderately safe during the day and passably so at night, but even a few yards from its streetlamps, the ruined district is a no man’s land inhabited by feral street urchins, thieves, rapers, and—some say—stone men who were never rounded up after the last outbreak of the gray plague.
